Lisa Stiles and her 16-year-old daughter Brittany had been living in a first-floor apartment in Canterbury Green.

With neighbors upstairs and on each side, it wasn’t always peaceful. And Lisa had to carry Brittany, who has cerebral palsy, in and out of the apartment, because the narrow hallways wouldn’t accommodate her wheelchair.

Lisa and Brittany finally received the keys to their new home in July. The single-story ranch is wheelchair accessible and was fitted with a special shower for Brittany.

Lisa said she was looking forward to finally having a quiet space of their own—where neighbors are close but not overhead, and she can easily get Brittany in, out and around the home.

“This house and everything I’ve done is all about her,” she said.
