FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — Habitat for Humanity is set to build the first as a part of a partnership in the Mount Vernon Park neighborhood.

The organization partnered with Bridge of Grace Compassionate Ministries for the home build. The home will be a three-bedroom, one bath, 1,100 square foot home with off-street parking. The anticipated monthly mortgage will be around $330.00 for partner families.

Community leaders and corporate partners will spend Thursday framing the walls for one-hour shifts. Organizers say it will give volunteers the ability to learn more about Habitat & Bridge of Grace’s vision to build together.

The application for the home opens on World Habitat Day, October 7th, 2019. Interested applicants can apply by visiting habitatgfw.com.
