Emily

Meet Emily

For nearly their entire childhood, Emily has raised her three grandchildren—stepping in when they were just toddlers, ages 2, 3, and 4. Today, they are all teenagers, and Emily is proud of how far they’ve come together.

Two of her grandchildren are autistic, and Emily has supported them every step of the way, celebrating milestones that once felt uncertain, like both of them graduating from high school.

The small three-bedroom home they currently rent struggles with ongoing plumbing, heating, and electrical issues, along with mold. These conditions. make daily life more difficult and at times unsafe. Despite this, Emily remains deeply grateful for the space that allowed her to raise her grandchildren and keep her family together.

Now, Emily dreams of becoming a homeowner, not just to improve their living conditions, but to create a place she can truly call “my home.”
