I wouldn’t be standing here without God. He is first in my life, forever. I want to thank Habitat and the community. As a breast cancer survivor who has been in remission for nearly four years, Lashanda has faced life’s challenges with remarkable strength, resilience, and gratitude. Today, she continues to pour that same determination into caring for three of her grandchildren as their full-time caregiver.
Love + Strength + Home
Lashanda’s goal with homeownership was to create stability, security, and opportunity for the family she loves. As she worked toward her Habitat home, the importance of having a safe and affordable place where her grandchildren could grow and thrive became one of her greatest motivations.
Throughout her journey, LaShanda inspired everyone she met with her kindness and unwavering optimism. With the support of Habitat donors, volunteers, and community partners, she now has a foundation for the future and a place her family can proudly call home.
