42 new families have officially joined the Habitat Homeownership Program in Allen County! Families received their hard hats, reviewed expectations of the program, and looked forward to what’s to come as they work toward their dream of homeownership.

Each Future Homeowner commits to up to 250 hours of sweat equity (building homes on the construction site, volunteering at the Fort Wayne ReStore, etc.), completes 8 financial and homeownership education classes, pays $1,500 toward the purchase of their home before closing, and takes on an affordable mortgage that is no more than 26% of their gross monthly income.
