2025 Annual Report: Construction

Construction Update

This year, we introduced two new two-story floor plans, began construction on 21 new homes for 21 hardworking families, brought the construction site to seven organizations through our Panel Builds, and continued our partnership with Lancia Homes, which completed another home build for a Habitat GFW family.

Collaboration Story

The Literacy Alliance + Community Harvest Food Bank

Since 2007, The Literacy Alliance has provided a start-up family library for every Habitat for Humanity home in our community — a bookcase, reference books, and handpicked reads for every family member. Each library costs about $150.

You can support these partnerships and keep them thriving by purchasing items from The Literacy Alliance’s Amazon wishlist or by donating to Community Harvest Food Bank.

New 2-Story Homes

In partnership with Design Collaborative, Habitat GFW introduced two new two-story floorplans. The Charlotte, a 4-bedroom, 2-bath, and the Portland, a 3-bedroom, 2 bath, both feature a first-floor bedroom and bath to support universal design; part of Habitat’s ongoing partnership with AWS Foundation to create inclusive, accessible spaces for families of all abilities. The homes also feature a front porch, back patio, and attached storage shed with exterior design features to better blend with existing architecture in the neighborhoods in which we’re currently building.

2025 Season Snapshot

  • I felt part of a great team that was doing something very useful. I loved that I could ask questions or ask for help whenever I might need it without any worries.

    Habitat Volunteer

Group of volunteers from WOWO radio station

In 2025, we took the job site to seven organizations — six in Allen County and one in Huntington County. We engaged 246 volunteers to build all of the interior and exterior wall panels of a Habitat home for families in our community. 💙

Special thanks to Home Lumber for donating their trucks and time to deliver all the materials needed to each location.
