Thrift Trail Raises Over $104K

In case you missed it, the Habitat ReStore teamed up with Blue Jacket, The Franciscan Center, The Lighthouse, and MCC Thrift to host a citywide “thrift crawl”: the first-ever Fort Wayne Nonprofit Thrift Trail.

The response was incredible! Our goal was to bring the community together for a fun weekend while showcasing how each of our nonprofits supports our neighbors. Not only did we accomplish that, but every store set new daily sales records! Together, we raised more than $104,000 in just two days.

Congratulations to our raffle winners, and thank you to every supporter who made this event such a success and blessing to our missions. We can’t wait for next year!

Construction Highlight

Construction volunteers

Future Habitat Homeowners don’t just receive the keys to their house; they help build it. Several of our new Fort Wayne families have been out with us on the construction site as they work towards their 200+ hours of ‘sweat equity’. “I’m actually building my own house. Putting my own heart, working with my own hands, the sweat, blood, everything into it,” shared Toyea.

Thank you to our community volunteers and donors for keeping us on track to build 21 homes this season. And shoutout to our amazing ReStore staff members for joining us on the construction site this month for another fun staff build day!
