Two new homes were kicked off in Huntington County, Women Build season ends, and more happenings at Habitat GFW this November.
Home Sweet Home
In December, we celebrated a home dedication with our newest Habitat Homeowner, Olivya, and her girls. Congratulations, Olivya! We’re so proud of all the work you’ve done and beyond excited for this new chapter.

Habitat GFW #3 Recycler Nationwide
Habitat GFW was named the #3 Habitat aluminum recycler in the United States for the second year in a row! Thank you to everyone who recycles cans to build Habitat homes. We couldn’t do this without you.
We’re excited to add more can shed locations in 2026, and thanks to a generous grant from Habitat International, we were able to add a new graphic to our can truck (see above).
Want to get involved? Email Dannielle at info@habitatgfw.com to request a can recycling box for your house, workplace, church, or school. We’re also looking for two volunteers who can help us collect cans throughout Allen County just once every three months.

Bring your gently used or new items to the ReStore to give them a second life while helping us build homes in Greater Fort Wayne. Easily drop off your items during business hours or schedule a FREE pickup.
