Emily Kumfer
Operations & HR Administrator
Emily Kumfer, SHRM-CP, joined Habitat GFW in November 2026 as Operations & HR Administrator. In her role, Emily supports many of the behind-the-scenes functions that help Habitat’s team, leadership, and volunteers work together effectively, including human resources, office operations, board and committee support, technology coordination, and organizational hospitality. She is passionate about creating positive experiences for others and helping people feel connected, supported, and equipped to do their best work.
Before joining Habitat, Emily spent more than six years with a local social services organization, including four years as Director of People Development. In that role, she led human resources initiatives, developed employee training and professional development programs, streamlined organizational processes, and helped advance strategic priorities that strengthened the organization and supported long-term growth. Emily also serves on the Board of Directors for the Northeast Indiana Human Resource Association (NIHRA), where she helps support and connect HR professionals throughout the region.
Emily earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Business Management and Human Resources, along with a minor in Psychology from Indiana Tech. A former collegiate athlete, she brings a collaborative mindset and strong commitment to teamwork in both her professional and personal life.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, staying involved in the community, and making meaningful connections wherever she goes.
