In February, Habitat for Humanity awarded Senator Young with its first Housing Champion award. Habitat IN’s State Director, Gina Leckron, awarded the Senator this prestigious award citing his commitment to tackling the affordable housing crisis by introducing several bills, including the Neighborhood Homes Investment Act.
The award was a part of Habitat for Humanity International’s annual Hill Day lead by CEO Jonathan Reckford. 400 Habitat leaders from across the country met at the Capitol to shine a light on the housing crisis and ensure more families can find affordable, quality homes across the U.S.
