Our 2nd annual Huntington County Twilight Golf Outing was a success thanks to the support of our incredible community.
Oct 02 2026
We had an exciting day on Iowa Street in Huntington alongside community supporters, staff, and Future Homeowners. The home at 1049 Iowa Street is the first of four new Habitat homes that will be built in Huntington County.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the press conference, and a huge thank you to our community supporters for making this day possible!
Our community is full of people who care about one another and show up when help is needed. Building four homes in one season is an exciting step for our county because it means four more families will have the chance to put down roots and build a more stable future. We are so grateful for every volunteer, donor, sponsor, and partner who is helping make this possible, thank you.

Jack Barlow
Habitat GFW Area Director
The first home to be built is a one-story, 3-bedroom, 2-bath home with 1,170 sq. ft. It will feature a front porch spanning the front of the home and a back patio with an attached storage shed.
The other three homes will be two-story Charlotte floorplan homes at 1582 and 1590 Jessup Street in Huntington, and a one-story Victory floorplan home at 385 W. Logan Street in Markle.
This is truly a blessing and an answer to prayer. I’m so thankful for this opportunity.
Dee
Future Huntington Homeowner
For years, Future Habitat Homeowner Dee dreamed of having a home of her own where she could build a stable future for herself and her daughter. But after a work accident in 2018, homeownership felt farther away than ever. As she navigated years of renting, the dream she had worked toward no longer seemed attainable.
That changed when she found Habitat GFW. Through the program, Dee began to see a path forward and a future she once thought was out of reach. “When I found Habitat, I started to feel that dream come alive again.”
Today, Dee is preparing to become a homeowner after 15 years of renting. She looks forward to investing in herself and her family, creating a place where she can host loved ones, finish raising her daughter, and someday pursue her goal of becoming a foster parent.
This season is possible because neighbors, businesses, foundations, and community partners have come together to support local families. Habitat GFW is especially grateful for the support of The Ardelle and Theresa Glaze Foundation, IHCDA, OLVM Foundation, and Bendix.
Additional supporters include Incipio, Duke Energy, CenterPoint Energy, Bippus State Bank, Knot Just Decks, Reese Wholesale, Schroeder’s Automotive Specialists, and W.A. Zimmer Company.
