In 2025-26, we’re building two more homes in Huntington, Indiana, for two amazing families in the Habitat Homeownership Program. With the help of the Huntington community, we’re looking forward to what the future will continue to bring as we strive to serve families in need of affordable housing.

3 Ways to Get Involved in Huntington
6-hour commitment
- Full day shifts: 9am – 3pm
- No prior construction experience is necessary.
- Age requirement: 16 years and older. Interested volunteers who are ages 16 & 17 please request a minor waiver from Andrea at acolley@habitatgfw.com. Minor volunteers are required to have adult supervision with them at all times.
- Group & individual volunteer opportunities are available.
- Individuals looking for Court-Ordered Community Service opportunities please email Andrea at acolley@habitatgfw.com for an application.
1 hour commitment
All ages welcome! Feed our construction volunteers and Future Homeowners as they build Habitat homes in our community. Learn more about Lunch Donations.
Bottled water is always needed to help keep our volunteers hydrated on the build site. Bring some water with you to the build site or contact Andrea: acolley@habitatgfw.com on where to drop it off.

Jadee
Habitat Homeowner
Meet Jadee
As a single mom to four girls, a Habitat home to Jadee means safety and security. She shared through tears that being a single parent is hard, but not having a roof over your kids’ heads is harder. Fortunately, Jadee has “a small village” surrounding her that has helped provide a place for her and her girls to stay while she worked to complete the Habitat Homeownership Program.
Jadee was born and raised in Huntington and has worked at the same organization for 10 years. She is gainfully employed, has a strong work ethic, and loves her family, but Jadee needed an opportunity for affordable housing. Through Habitat GFW and the support of the Huntington community, she seized the opportunity to become a sustainable homeowner. “I’ve learned about budgets, managing money, and how to be a successful homeowner. I’m tremendously grateful for what everyone has done for us to make this possible, thank you.”
