Leadership Transition at Habitat GFW

Jeremy McClish to Step Down as CEO

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Fort Wayne (Habitat GFW) announces the upcoming transition of Chief Executive Officer Jeremy McClish, who will step down effective July 24, 2025, after eight years of dedicated service to the organization and the Greater Fort Wayne community.

Jeremy has played a vital role in Habitat GFW’s growth—first as Chief Operating Officer for five and a half years, then as CEO for the past two and a half years. During that time, Habitat has built over 100 homes, partnered with more than 150 families, and helped provide safe, affordable housing for approximately 375 children. His leadership has guided Habitat’s mission with compassion and a deep sense of purpose.

“Serving this ministry has been one of the greatest honors of my life. After a season of prayer and discernment, I’ve made the decision to pursue a new opportunity. I remain deeply committed to Habitat’s mission and have full confidence in the team and all that’s ahead. I’m grateful for all we’ve built together and will do everything I can to support a smooth and thoughtful transition.”

Dr. Karl Einolf, Board Chair of Habitat GFW, expressed gratitude for Jeremy’s leadership:

We look forward to building upon this strong foundation and continuing to grow Habitat’s impact in our community in the years ahead.”

As Habitat GFW moves forward during this leadership transition, the Board of Directors and staff will continue to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities, and hope without pause. We are on track to complete 21 homes this fiscal year, bringing stability and opportunity through affordable housing to families across Greater Fort Wayne. We’re truly grateful to our donors, volunteers, and community partners whose steadfast support allows us to serve our neighbors and advocate for families every day.

Interim Leadership

The Board has appointed Habitat’s Chief Financial Officer, Josh Seder, as Interim CEO. Josh brings not only experience and steady leadership but also a heartfelt dedication to our mission. We are confident that under his care, our team and future homeowners will continue to thrive.
