Our annual fundraiser was a huge success, our Annual Report is now available to view, and more happenings at Habitat GFW this April.

We gathered bright and early on Winter Street with volunteers, community partners, future homeowners, and staff to raise the very first walls of the 2025-26 build season. It’s always a powerful moment—watching that first wall go up—and it reminds us why we do what we do.
This year, we’re planning to build 21 new homes: 18 in Southeast Fort Wayne, two in Huntington, and one in New Haven. And that number could grow—we’ve got a few exciting partnerships in the works that might allow us to do even more.
“We’re not just building homes—we’re walking alongside families and neighbors to strengthen communities. It’s exciting to be part of the momentum already happening in Southeast Fort Wayne and to help support the community’s vision for new, quality housing.

Habitat GFW CEO
Homeownership means security and stability for my children. I want my kids to have the best and be their best. They watch everything I do—and I want them to grow up with the mindset that they can do this too.
Tiffany
Future Habitat Homeowner
Tiffany is an unstoppable single mom of five young children and a proud Indiana Tech graduate. Years ago, her mom planted the seed to apply to the Habitat Homeownership Program, and in 2024, Tiffany knew the time was right. Now, she’s building more than a home; she’s creating stability, security, and a future full of hope for her children.
We’re honored to be walking alongside families like Tiffany as she builds a stable foundation for her family’s future.
We’re grateful to the City of Fort Wayne for its ongoing efforts to bring development opportunities to Southeast. The City’s support has been instrumental in making Habitat’s presence in this effort possible.
Exciting news this season! We’ve been working with our friends at Design Collaborative to roll out some fresh home designs. This season, we’re adding new façade features and even a couple of two-story layouts to better match the character of existing homes in the area.
This year’s build season is also made possible in part by Brotherhood Mutual, Ambassador Enterprises, BFGoodrich, Fort Wayne Metals, and the City of Fort Wayne.
We’re just getting started this season, and there’s still so much work to do. Whether you swing a hammer, sponsor a build, or simply share our mission with a friend—you’re part of something powerful. Every home we build, every hour volunteered, and every dollar donated helps open doors for local families.
