We love supporting non-profits who make a difference, and Habitat is at the top of our list. To make our donation go even further, we can donate through the Attainable Homeownership Tax Credit program, which allows us to receive 50% of our donation back when we file our year-end taxes. We then turn that refund right back into a donation the next year. It is a gift that keeps on giving.

A Win for Families + Donors
Affordable Homeownership Tax Credits (AHTC) continues to create opportunities for Habitat families and our donors. Through this program, qualified individuals, small businesses, and corporations receive a state tax credit equal to 50% of their donation while directly supporting affordable homeownership opportunities in Greater Fort Wayne.
Over the past two fiscal years, AHTC contributions have provided more than $576,000 in local housing support, helping Habitat families build brighter futures while rewarding donors for their investment in the community.

$6.3 million raised across 36 Indiana Habitat affiliates
Throughout Indiana, 36 Habitat for Humanity affiliates have participated in the AHTC program. This second year, donors generated more than $6.3 million in donations through 36 Habitat affiliates, resulting in nearly $3 million in tax credits distributed to donors!
