We celebrated two new Habitat homeowners, Cara and LaDasia, looked back at our first homeowner from 1986, and more from this March.
New Habitat GFW Office Location
We’ve moved! The Habitat GFW office has moved around the corner from our old space. Our new address is 2085 Humphrey Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46803.
Thank you to the O.N.V. team and Habitat staff for helping us bless the new space last week. A huge thank you to Tom Current and Steve Mishler of Current Mechanical / Falstaff Properties for their support of our mission and for making this move possible.
Our new office is nearly 3x the size of our old office and includes classroom space for our Future Homeowners, several meeting rooms for staff and families, plenty of office space to support our team as we continue to grow, and more storage to support the ReStore.\
We can’t wait to share the new office with you once we’re settled!
family spotlight: laura
Meet Laura, a loving single mom who has built a life around helping others through her work with the Bureau of Disability Services. But when it came to her own dreams of homeownership, doubt held her back.
For years, the uncertainty of rising rent left her anxious. Each lease renewal brought the same fear: How much more will it cost this time? She longed for stability, for a home where she and her daughter could feel safe, where they could put down roots and build a future.
“Change is difficult for me, but everyone has been so encouraging,” Laura shared. Now, as she works toward becoming a homeowner, she’s embracing that change with a new sense of confidence.

We are thrilled to introduce our new COO, Nick Buchanan. Nick has spent many years in the construction industry as a self-employed contractor as well as a missionary in the Dominican Republic, leading construction and medical ministry mission teams across North America.

Neighbors in Renaissance Pointe: Join us for an important neighborhood meeting to reactivate our association and make our voices heard. If you’re a Future Homeowner nearing the closing process for a Ren Pointe home, attending this meeting may count toward your required program hours.
