Three Habitat Families Became Homeowners in March
March has been an incredible month as we celebrated three Habitat families closing on their homes. Congratulations to TyKara, LaToya, and Vincent and Gentille! Thank you to everyone for your support of our families — these are the moments we’re working for and making possible together.
Special thanks to Lancia Homes for their continued support of our mission. They’ve partnered with us again for the 2024-25 build season to build another home for Habitat in New Haven!
The Innovative Housing Showcase will introduce and test four distinct new construction types of homes in the Fort Wayne Housing Market, AND each will be purchased by a Habitat Partner Family. We’re thrilled to partner with City of Fort Wayne and Royal Developments — the homes will be located just blocks away from the Habitat offices in East Central Fort Wayne.
The grant requirements attached to the Innovative Housing Showcase require purchasers with low- to moderate-incomes — which is a natural fit for families already accepted into the Habitat Homeownership Program. Habitat has identified an eligible pool of families within the program to purchase these homes.

We have a new activity at this year’s ReStore Your Passion fundraising event and are in need of donated bottles of wine. Our goal is to collect 150 bottles priced at $25+ each.

Last year, Habitat GFW raised $7,692.20 through donated vehicles!
Habitat accepts cars, trucks, RV’s, motorcycles, boats, and farm/construction equipment. Each vehicle must be whole and have four inflated tires, but does not need to be in running condition.
