Homeowner Services Update

This build season, 54 families (including 140 children!) were enrolled in the Habitat Homeownership Program. This is just a small portion of the families who applied to our program — the need is great and we are just scratching the surface.

Our application process was open to those living and/or working in Allen and Huntington Counties, which we’ll continue into the 2025-26 season.

Because of your support…

  • 44 children

    now have a safe, stable place to call home.

  • 4,254 "sweat equity" hours

    were completed by our future homeowners — allowing them to volunteer their time building homes and supporting other local non-profits.

  • 819 hours

    of financial literacy and homeowner readiness classes were completed by our future homeowners — uplifting them and their children for a brighter, financially stable future.

Marissa’s Story

Pathfinder Services Partnership

As a single mom and business owner, Marissa joined our homeownership program in early 2024 and completed her 200 sweat equity hours in less than a year. Alongside her hard work, Marissa participated in Pathfinder Services’ Individualized Development Account (IDA) program, which allowed her to save for her Habitat home and have her contributions matched at four times the amount.

Thanks to her dedication and the support of Pathfinder Services, Marissa is now on the path to stability and security for her and her daughter.
